Stanley Whittaker Joins FIATC Girona as New Point Guard

American point guard signs one-year contract after strong campaign in Turkey

Stanley Whittaker (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA, October 21, 1994) is the new player for FIATC Girona for the 2026/27 season. The 1.83-meter point guard arrives from Aliaga Petkim Spor.

Whittaker trained at Esperanza Academy Charter High School in his hometown and in 2013 joined Frank Phillips College, where he played for two seasons. In 2015 he signed with Keiser University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

The American point guard made the jump to Europe in the 2019/20 season, playing in Lithuania's second division with Jonavos CBet. He later finished the season in the Austrian league with UBSC Raiffeisen Graz, where he renewed for one season.

Throughout his career, Whittaker has played in the leagues of Austria, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Russia, and Turkey.

In the 2021/22 season he joined PS Karlsruhe Lions in Germany's second division. He later made the jump to the top flight with Würzburg. After his time in the German league, he continued his career in the Italian league with Dinamo Sassari, before finishing the season in the VTB United League with PBC Uralmash.

In the 2024/25 season he started at PBC Uralmash and finished with Parma, also in the VTB United League.

In his most recent season, he played in the Turkish league with Aliaga Petkim Spor, averaging 13.1 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game, with an average rating of 11.9.

Stanley Whittaker has also participated in two European competitions: the Basketball Champions League (BCL) and the FIBA Europe Cup. This past season he competed in the FIBA Europe Cup with Aliaga Petkim Spor. In the ten games he played, he averaged 10.4 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 4.8 assists, with an average rating of 10.8.
