Tra Holder Joins Monbus Obradoiro Through End of Season

Monbus Obradoiro signs Tra Holder through the end of the season. The American point guard will strengthen the floor direction of the Santiago de Compostela squad in this decisive stretch of the campaign.

Holder (6'1", 30 years old) boasts an extensive international resume, with experience in top-tier competitions in Europe and the United States. Developed at Arizona State (NCAA), the new Obradoiro player has worn the jerseys of Skyliners Frankfurt and BG Göttingen in Germany, MKS Dąbrowa Górnicza in Poland, and Jämtland Basket in Sweden. Additionally, he has competed in the G League with teams including Birmingham Squadron, Capitanes CDMX, and Westchester Knicks.

In his most recent stint with BG Göttingen, he averaged 15.4 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 3.6 assists across 29 games in the German easyCredit BBL.

The club's general manager, Héctor Galán, explained that the signing comes "at a complicated moment given the stage of the season, the proximity of the market deadline, and Micah's injury".

Galán thanked both the player and his agent for their willingness to close the deal and highlighted that Holder "arrives to join a team with a very defined work dynamic and with the objective of remaining competitive at a key moment in the season". He also noted that Holder "will bring experience, scoring ability, and floor direction, filling the gap left by Micah's injury".
