UCAM Murcia Crushes Boca Juniors (93-54) Behind Boum and Forrest

UCAM Murcia claimed its second preseason victory, dominating Boca Juniors 93-54 in Yecla at the 25th Anniversary Trophy of Red Deportiva Yecla, also held as the Francisco Peidró Memorial.

The game was decided in the third quarter

The opening was competitive: 21-17 after the first quarter and 41-31 at halftime. The decisive blow came after the break, when the Murcia squad ramped up defensive intensity and found their outside shot, putting together a 25-10 run to reach 66-41. In the final period, the lead continued to balloon to a final 39-point margin.

Souley Boum, with 21 points, and Michael Forrest, with 19, once again led the scoring, just as they had two days earlier in Albacete. The team played without Dylan Ennis and Kaiser Gates, who rested as a precaution.

Context for both teams

For UCAM, this is the second consecutive blowout win: on Tuesday they defeated Bueno Arenas Albacete Basket 108-65, a Primera FEB team. The squad is preparing for a double-competition season, competing in the Liga Endesa and Basketball Champions League.

For Boca, meanwhile, their Spanish tour has been rough. This is their second lopsided defeat in three days, following an 82-116 loss to Río Breogán in the Torneo Lugo É Basket. The Argentine club, defending champions of the BCL Américas, is preparing for their participation in the Intercontinental Cup.
