Unicaja Close to Securing Amine Noua Transfer

Unicaja is nearing the completion of Amine Noua's signing. According to La Opinión de Málaga, the Málaga club is finalizing the transfer of the French power forward, the "4" that Txus Vidorreta wanted to complete an important position in his new project.

Noua, standing 2.02 meters tall, is a player with experience in European basketball and the ability to alternate minutes as a stretch power forward. His profile fits a very specific idea: providing spacing, outside shooting threat, mobility and experience to a roster that is changing key pieces following Vidorreta's arrival on the bench.

The move comes amid a major rebuild for Unicaja. The club has already strengthened its interior with Willy Hernangómez, officially confirmed for the 2026/27 season, and now seeks to add another complementary piece to balance the paint.

Noua is not an interior player to operate with his back to the basket, but rather a modern power forward, capable of spacing out, running the floor and playing in systems where spacing is important. In that sense, he can offer an interesting pairing with the team's more physical big men, helping the offense have more floor space and less congestion in the paint.

For Vidorreta, who begins a new chapter in Málaga following his cycle in Tenerife, the signing would make tactical sense. The head coach has always placed great importance on offensive organization, balance in lineups and the use of centers and power forwards with well-defined roles. His arrival at Unicaja was announced by the club for the next two seasons.

If confirmed, Amine Noua will be another relevant piece in the new Unicaja: less high-profile than Willy, but necessary to provide versatility, shooting and depth to a roster that wants to continue competing at the top.
