Vezenkov Earns Matchday 6 MVP, One Award Away from Larkin's Record

Sasha Vezenkov chose the Palau Blaugrana for his best performance of the season. The reigning EuroLeague MVP was also the standout player of matchday 6, leading Olympiacos to overtime victory over Barcelona (100-105). With this award, his first of the season, the Bulgarian wing reaches 18 matchday MVP awards in his career and sits just one behind Shane Larkin's all-time record.

It was a night of big numbers. Vezenkov posted 25 points and a 38 efficiency rating, his best figures of the season, shooting 6 of 7 from two-point range, 1 of 2 from three, and a perfect 10 of 10 from the free throw line. He also added 6 rebounds, drew 8 fouls, and committed zero turnovers. Barcelona had no way to stop him. Before halftime, he put on a spectacular final minute, capped with a three-pointer from beyond eight meters at the buzzer that gave Olympiacos its largest lead of the first half.

Moneke and Feliz Complete the Podium

The second-best performer of the matchday was Chima Moneke, who needed just 20 minutes to post a 31 efficiency rating, his season high, in Crvena Zvezda's victory over Paris (90-81) under coach Ibon Navarro. He scored 23 points with a perfect 9 of 9 from the free throw line and zero turnovers.

Behind him comes Andrés Feliz, who had the best night of his EuroLeague career in Real Madrid's win over ASVEL (111-92). The Dominican point guard set new career highs with 26 points and a 30 efficiency rating, thanks to an 8 of 11 performance from three-point range that ties the season's best mark in a single game. Rounding out the top five efficiency ratings are Mbaye Ndiaye, Vezenkov's Olympiacos teammate, and Vladimir Lucic of Bayern, both with 28.
