Wes Iwundu Brings Versatility to MoraBanc Andorra

The 30-year-old wing with NBA experience signs a one-year deal with the Principality club

Wes Iwundu will wear the MoraBanc Andorra jersey for the 2026/2027 season. The 30-year-old American wing with Nigerian passport, standing 1.98 meters tall, arrives in the Principality on a one-year contract and joins Zan Tabak's project to strengthen the perimeter game with his athleticism, versatility, and international experience.

His professional career began in the NBA after being selected by the Orlando Magic in the 2017 Draft. Over several seasons he represented the Magic, Dallas Mavericks, New Orleans Pelicans, and Atlanta Hawks, also spending time in the G League. He later made the jump to European basketball, with stints in Turkey and Germany, before competing last season in the Australian league (12.3 points per game). Now, Iwundu faces a new challenge ahead of his Liga Endesa debut wearing the MoraBanc Andorra jersey.

Jordi Ardèvol, MoraBanc Andorra's sports director, commented on the signing: «Wes Iwundu is a player who, despite his experience, will play his first season in Liga Endesa. He will bring us a lot of defensive versatility, as he is capable of defending practically every position except center. On offense, he stands out for his ability to play off the ball and his outside shooting. Additionally, he is a player with great athleticism and physical tools that we hope will also help us significantly on the glass from the perimeter.»

Iwundu arrives at MoraBanc Andorra to provide solidity, energy, and versatility on both sides of the court. His experience in different international competitions and his athletic profile make him a piece that will expand the team's resources during the 2026/2027 season.
