Yakuba Ouattara ends his stint at Paris Basketball. The French club has officially announced the shooting guard's departure after two seasons in the capital, where he was an important piece for his defense, experience, and outside shooting threat.
According to Eurohoops, his next destination will be Monaco, the club to which he will return for the next two seasons and with which he will compete in the BKT EuroCup.
Ouattara, 34, arrived in Paris precisely from Monaco in the summer of 2024 and quickly integrated into head coach Tiago Splitter's rotation. He was not a high-volume scorer, but rather one of those players who help sustain a project: defensive work, open shooting, craftsmanship, and competitive character.
His first season in Paris was particularly successful. The team won the French league and the French Cup, in addition to reaching the EuroLeague playoffs. In 2025/26, Paris could not defend the national title, although Ouattara once again had significant minutes in the decisive stretch.
The club said goodbye to him with a very meaningful message, highlighting his professionalism, his locker room speeches, his daily determination, and everything he contributed to the growth of the project.
A three-time French champion, Ouattara changes scenery but does not lose ambition. His return to Monaco will allow him to continue competing in a familiar environment and bring veteran experience to a team that will seek to be a protagonist in Europe.
