jul 01 2026Jock Landale will continue with the Atlanta Hawks for another season. The Australian center has agreed to a one-year, $14 million contract extension, according to ESPN.
Landale had attracted interest on the market, but ultimately decided to stay with the Georgia franchise, where he arrived during the previous trade deadline from the Utah Jazz.
In his final stretch of the season with Atlanta, he appeared in 23 games, averaging 9.1 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 19 minutes per game. His performance convinced the Hawks, who are reinforcing their frontcourt rotation for the upcoming season.
With this extension, Atlanta retains a solid, physical center with NBA experience to provide depth to their interior game in the 2026/27 season.
