Juancho Hernangómez Extends with Panathinaikos Through 2030

Panathinaikos has settled any doubts about Juancho Hernangómez's future. The Greek club announced the renewal of the Spanish power forward for three more seasons, extending his contract through the end of the 2029/30 campaign.

The move confirms that Juancho will remain a key piece of the Athens project. He joined Panathinaikos in 2023, won the EuroLeague in his first season, and has since established himself as one of the team's most reliable players.

Last season he averaged 8 points and 6.5 rebounds in EuroLeague play, ranking as the competition's fifth-best rebounder. The season before, he even led the league in rebounds with 7 captures per game.

His continuity comes after rumors had linked him to Real Madrid. Panathinaikos, however, never truly opened the door to his departure and now secures a player who brings rebounding, physicality, experience, and balance.

With this renewal, Juancho extends his time in Athens and reinforces the club's message: Panathinaikos wants to maintain a winning core to continue competing for everything in Europe.
