Marcus Bingham Signs with Fenerbahce After Standout Season at UNICS Kazan

Marcus Bingham has found his EuroLeague destination. The American center has signed with Fenerbahce for the next two seasons following a breakout campaign with UNICS Kazan.

The 7-foot center, 25 years old, joins the Turkish club after establishing himself as one of the most dominant big men in the VTB League. Last season he averaged 15.6 points, 7.1 rebounds, 1.4 steals and 1.8 blocks, earning the title of the league's best shot-blocker and ranking among the most efficient players near the basket.

His signing comes after his name circulated in the market as a potential option for other major European clubs, including Real Madrid, to whom he had been offered. Ultimately, Fenerbahce will be the team to acquire a tall, athletic profile with significant defensive impact.

Bingham will make the jump to EuroLeague after stints in Israel and Russia. At Hapoel Tel Aviv he already showed signs of his potential, though a bout of pericarditis hampered part of his season. Later, in Kazan, he fully confirmed his growth as a center-level player.

For Fenerbahce, his arrival adds intimidation, rebounding, mobility and finishing above the rim. A very interesting reinforcement for a paint that gains physicality and protection near the basket.
