The Brooklyn Nets have completed the signing of Moe Wagner to bolster their frontcourt rotation. According to Shams Charania, the German player has agreed to a two-year, $19 million deal.
The contract includes an unusual formula: a mutual option that guarantees the $19 million, allowing both sides to opt in to continue rather than opt out, while also leaving the door open for renegotiation of a new agreement next summer.
Wagner arrives from the Orlando Magic, where he played during the 2025/26 season. The center averaged 6.9 points, 3.2 rebounds and 0.8 assists per game, shooting 42.6% from the field. His production was more limited than in previous seasons, but he remains a useful profile for his energy, competitive drive and ability to space the floor from the power forward or center position.
For Brooklyn, his signing represents adding a mobile, intense interior with NBA experience. Wagner doesn't arrive to be a primary option, but rather to provide depth, toughness and scoring from the bench unit on a team that continues rebuilding its roster heading into the 2026/27 season.
