Real Madrid Makes Offer to Lester Quiñones

Real Madrid continues searching for a wing and one of the names on the table is Lester Quiñones. According to José Niña Tejada, the white club has already made an offer to the Dominican shooting guard, who is currently a free agent.

The decision now rests with the player. Quiñones, 25, can accept Madrid's proposal or wait for another market option, especially if he maintains any open doors in the United States.

Madrid's interest comes after losing momentum on Armoni Brooks and Lonnie Walker options. The club needs to strengthen the perimeter with a player who can add scoring, shooting and physicality on the wing, and Quiñones fits that profile.

Quiñones comes from moving between the NBA and the G League, with experience in the Golden State Warriors, Philadelphia 76ers, New Orleans Pelicans and Orlando Magic environment. His greatest continuity, however, has been found in the development league, where he has been able to get playing time, minutes and offensive volume.

In his most recent season with Osceola Magic he posted 22.8 points, 5.1 rebounds and 2.8 assists, with 40% from three-point range. It's an important stat to understand the interest: he doesn't arrive from a minor season, but from producing a lot and with outside shooting accuracy.

For Madrid it would be a different bet than Brooks or Walker. Less name recognition, less immediate media impact, but also a younger player, with a Dominican passport and scoring ability.

It's not closed. There's an offer, there's interest and now the player's response is pending.
