Satoransky and Costello, ACB Targets for Ibon Navarro's Crvena Zvezda

Ibon Navarro's Crvena Zvezda is making moves in the market and looking toward the Liga Endesa. Tomas Satoransky, whose contract with FC Barcelona expires this summer, appears as one of the most relevant names, while Matt Costello also figures among the profiles linked to the new Serbian project.

The market is beginning to stir around FC Barcelona and one of the key names is Tomas Satoransky. The Czech point guard, one of the most influential voices in the Barcelona locker room, sees his contract expire this summer and his continuity does not appear assured.

According to reports from Serbia, Crvena Zvezda would be in talks with Satoransky, an option that gains traction following the arrival of Ibon Navarro to the bench of the Belgrade club. The Spanish head coach is beginning a new chapter in the EuroLeague and is seeking players with experience, competitive character, and the ability to assume responsibilities from day one.

In that scenario, Satoransky fits the bill by trajectory and personality. He is not just a point guard of great size and excellent court vision, but also a player accustomed to operating in contexts of maximum demand. His leadership at Barcelona has been important over recent seasons, especially for his ability to organize the team, defend multiple positions, and provide balance without needing to monopolize the ball.

His contractual situation also makes the Czech player a market opportunity. Satoransky returned to Barcelona in 2022 with a contract through 2026, so his tie to the Barcelona club expires at the end of the current season. At 34 years old, he could undertake a new European experience in an ambitious project with EuroLeague presence.

Crvena Zvezda's interest is not limited solely to the Barcelona point guard. In recent days, the name of Matt Costello, a Valencia Basket player, has also emerged as another profile being tracked by the Serbian club. His case reinforces the sense that Ibon Navarro wants to fish in the Liga Endesa to shape his roster.

Costello would respond to a different profile, but equally recognizable within what Navarro typically seeks: an interior with European experience, mobility, ability to space the floor, and knowledge of the competition. His name, alongside Satoransky's, positions the ACB market as one of the main focal points of Crvena Zvezda's new project.

For Ibon Navarro, the possible arrival of Satoransky would mean bringing in an immediate leader, very close to the type of point guard he has always valued: physical, competitive, unselfish, and with impact beyond the stat sheet. If the club also advances on profiles like Costello, the message seems clear: Crvena Zvezda wants to build a roster with craft, experience, and a recognizable identity from the first summer.
