Yabusele Returns to EuroLeague to Strengthen Panathinaikos

Guerschon Yabusele is back in the EuroLeague. Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens has officially announced the signing of the French power forward, who has signed a three-year deal and becomes one of the biggest acquisitions in the European market.

Yabusele arrives from the NBA, where last season he had two very different stints. He started the 2025/26 season with the New York Knicks, averaging 2.7 points and 2.1 rebounds in 41 games, before being traded to the Chicago Bulls. There he regained prominence and posted 10 points and 5.7 rebounds in 26 games.

The Frenchman returns to a competition he knows well. Before returning to the NBA, he played three seasons at Real Madrid, where he was an important piece in the 2023 EuroLeague championship and also reached the finals in 2022 and 2024. In total, he has accumulated 124 EuroLeague games between ASVEL and Real Madrid, averaging 10.8 points, 4.4 rebounds and 41.1% from three-point range.

For Panathinaikos, his arrival represents a high-level reinforcement for the frontcourt. Yabusele brings strength, experience, outside shooting and the ability to play both on the perimeter and near the basket. A profile already proven in big stages and with the level to perform from day one.

The Greek club continues to build a very strong roster. After also signing Isaac Bonga, Yabusele's signing confirms that Panathinaikos wants to be in contention for everything in Europe.
